We Want Your Feedback on Wright Patterson Mah Jongg Beta Release!

Introduction

Hello Mah Jongg Enthusiasts!

We are beyond excited to present the Beta Release of our Wright Patterson Mah Jongg online game. This unique and fascinating variation of traditional Mah Jongg is now available in a digital format, and we need your feedback to make it even better!

Important Notes

Game Book Required: To get the most out of Wright Patterson Mah Jongg online, you'll need the official game book, which is available on the Wright-Patterson Mah Jongg Website.

What's Working and What's in Progress

What's Working:

  • All 92 patterns are fully implemented, allowing for a broad array of strategies and hands to play.
  • The core gameplay should be as seamless as you'd expect from traditional Mah Jongg.

What's in Progress:

  • Scoring: We are in the process of fine-tuning the mini-points aspect of the scoring system. While all patterns are recognized, the specific point values are not yet final.
  • Special Cases for Ready Hands: Two specific patterns related to "ready hands" at the time of Mah Jongg (Double Limit and Triple Limit hands) are not yet implemented. We are working on adding these to accurately reflect the complexities of Wright Patterson Mah Jongg.
  • Flower Wall: We are currently working to improve the flower wall to enhance gameplay and make it more engaging.

  1. I've noticed the site isn't https. do you plan on upgrading it? Another question, I"m very new to Mahjongg - could you allow the option of pulling back a tile? Sometimes I don't mean to release a tile, like if I hit it by acciddnt or something, or sometimes the game just decides what to throw. In those cases it would be great if there was a delay of a few seconds where you could click it back into your hand. Better yet, disable the auto throw option. For us beginners - it takes a LONG time to figure out what hand to try for. Thanks for your efforts -there is no other place to play/practice WP mahjongg.

  2. Thank you for your question! Right now, we’re actively working on account services, and unfortunately, it’s not yet possible to change your password. We’ll make sure to announce it once this feature becomes available. Stay tuned, and thank you for your patience!

  3. Hello, is the site down? When I enter my name/password and click login, the buttons become grayed out, but nothing happens and I can't advance into the game. I've tried from multiple devices (and clearing the cookies/cache). Thanks for your help!
